The Safeguarding Australia Conference in 2005 was the nation’s premier domestic security event.

The event was very successful and brought together policy makers, practitioners, academics and industry professionals.

The theme of the Summit and Exposition was to provide practical information on Australian developments.

Over three days, the Summit examined the policy consequences for domestic security of the Howard Government's fourth term. It identified issues for the implementation of the policy decisions and then consider pressing operational problems in the first responder community and Australian business.
